Dear Colleague, As you are aware, NVQ completion is part of the development process for all FLD engineers and forms a major contractual obligation to complete DSO work for eaga and to achieve the RDI Digital Tick logo.As part of our ongoing continual improvement processes, we are implementing a new job type called NVQA, which is designed to assist NVQ assessors and engineers who require assessment by informing them up front, when an NVQ visit will occur.If you receive a job with the type indicated as NVQA, this means that during the day you will receive a visit from an NVQ assessor. It is extremely important that you are available for NVQ assessment and fully cooperate with the assessor whilst you are completing your work. For completion of the NVQ, three successful visits need to be made, typically over a nine month period from NVQ sign up.The assessor’s telephone number may also appear on the job so that liaison is possible between the engineer and assessor should the need occur. It is very likely that the NVQ assessor may contact an engineer via telephone prior to the visit; please be available for any preliminary discussions that may be required.Finally, if you have an NVQA job type and the assessor does not visit on the day, please contact the Operations Centre on 08714 333 333 to inform them.
